Travel inspiration
Wildlife days, ocean nights.
Pair wildlife-rich days with the Indian Ocean: a safari followed by Zanzibar’s coastline, dhows, snorkelling and quiet island culture. The classic East African combination — paced so neither side feels rushed.
Safari first, then exhale
Most travellers prefer the plains before the beach — the contrast feels like a reward and the beach lets the safari settle into memory. We usually plan four to six safari nights, then three to five on the coast.
Sensible transfers
Northern Tanzania connects to Zanzibar by short scheduled flights, so the transition costs hours, not days. We route it so the journey stays unhurried rather than efficient but exhausting.
Two kinds of rest
The coast is not only beaches. Stone Town’s Swahili lanes, a dhow at sunset, snorkelling off the north coast — island culture gives the beach days substance.
The pairing
Four to six safari nights, then three to five island nights.
Transfers
Short scheduled flights join the bush to the coast.
The coast
Beaches, dhows, snorkelling and Stone Town’s heritage.
The point
A journey that ends slowly, not one that ends in an airport.
A sense of place
Take a moment. Look closer.
