A safari the whole family can share.

The proposition

Travel that meets children where they are.

A family safari is not an adult safari with smaller seats. Younger children need shorter drives, earlier dinners and time to run. Older children want to understand — the tracking, the guiding, the names of things. Multi-generational groups need a pace that works for a grandparent and a seven-year-old at once. We design around the ages in your group, the days you have and what you each hope to feel — and we are honest about which routes, activities and lodges suit which ages, because not all of them welcome every age equally.

Age-aware pacing

Designed around the ages in your group.

The right safari for a family with a six-year-old is not the right safari for a family with teenagers. We shape it accordingly.

01

Shorter drives

For younger children, shorter game drives with breaks — not long days that exhaust them before the best sightings.

02

Family accommodation

Family suites and connecting rooms where available — we choose lodges that genuinely welcome the ages in your group.

03

Learning & discovery

Guides who teach as they go — tracking, naming, storytelling — so the journey stays with children long after.

04

Time to play

Pool time, camp life and unstructured hours — a safari is tiring, and children need rest as much as game drives.

When to travel

School holidays, well used.

The main school holidays align with East Africa’s finest seasons — June to October and December to February. We plan around your school calendar, not the other way around.

Safety & realistic expectations

Honest about what suits which age.

Not every route, activity or lodge welcomes every age. Some trekking, long transfers and certain camps suit older children and adults only. We will tell you honestly what works for your group, and design around it.

How AT ONE personalises it

A journey that holds every generation.

We design for the whole group — so no one is dragged along, and no one is left out.

01

Multi-generational

Pacing and accommodation that work for grandparents, parents and children travelling together.

02

Age-matched routes

We choose parks, lodges and activities by the ages in your group — not a one-size family package.

03

One team throughout

A single team holds the journey — present for the children, responsive to the adults.
