Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park is one of Tanzania's most accessible and diverse parks — a compact wilderness containing lush rainforest, open grassland, alkaline lakes, and the peak of Mount Meru rising to 4,565m.
For guests arriving or departing through Arusha, the park provides an excellent safari warm-up or wind-down. Walking safaris are conducted with armed rangers through giraffe herds and alongside buffalos, while canoe safaris on the Momella Lakes bring you within metres of hippo and flamingo.
On clear mornings, Kilimanjaro rises on the eastern horizon — reflected in the lakes below in one of Tanzania's most photographed panoramas.
